What are bypass track shutters?
A bypass system places shutter panels on separate, parallel tracks. One panel moves behind or in front of another, similar to the movement of a sliding patio door.
The panel layout is normally aligned with the door's active and fixed glass sections so everyday access feels intuitive.

Both systems allow panels to pass. The important difference is how much clearance is provided between the shutter planes.
The tracks can generally sit closer together, but the louvers normally need to be closed before one panel passes another.
