A project may use more than one window-covering type. Public areas, living rooms, bedrooms, workstations and high-level glazing can require different fabrics, controls and mounting details.
Product availability, fabric data, openness factors, flame-resistance documentation, hardware limits and control compatibility must be confirmed for the final selected system and project requirements.

Sunny Shutter has commissioned independent textile testing through Applied Lab and CTT Group. Our records include NFPA 701 testing for submitted polyester and nylon materials, alongside selected durability tests.

Submitted polyester and 550D nylon samples achieved compliant results under NFPA 701 (2023), Test Method 1.
Performance after care
A submitted polyester sample also met NFPA 701 Test Method 1 criteria after five laundering cycles under the reported test conditions.

Reports are matched to the tested material, configuration and required standard. If your specification calls for CAN/ULC-S109 or another standard, ask us to review the documentation needed for your selection.

Do you supply window coverings for townhouse and multi-unit developments?
Yes. We coordinate blinds and cellular shades around unit types, room uses and window schedules. Our Amara Townhouses project in Regina covers a 15-home development across three buildings. What commercial blinds and curtains do you supply?
We supply custom roller, solar, cellular and blackout shades, vertical and zebra blinds, motorized systems, drapery, sheers and large-scale blackout curtains. Commercial curtain tracks and mounting arrangements are selected around the site and curtain requirements.
Can you provide NFPA 701 test reports for curtain fabrics?
We have independent NFPA 701 Test Method 1 reports for specific submitted polyester and nylon materials. Ask us to confirm the relevant report for your selected fabric and configuration. We can also coordinate additional third-party testing where needed.
What if our specification requires CAN/ULC-S109?
Send the specification with your inquiry. We will review the required standard and supporting documentation for the proposed fabric. An NFPA 701 report does not establish compliance with a different test standard.
Do you handle gymnasium curtains and high-level installations?
Yes. We support large-scale blackout curtains and commercial track systems for sports and public facilities. Planning includes mounting conditions, curtain operation, installation access, panel overlap and site-specific openings. Can you work from drawings, tender documents or a window schedule?
Yes. These documents help define the scope, quantities, fabric criteria and installation requirements. Final production measurements are confirmed against site conditions.
Can you provide samples and documentation for contractor submittals?
We can coordinate fabric samples, available material test reports, product data and selected-system information. Identify required documents and review deadlines early so they can be considered during selection.
Can commercial shades be motorized or installed in phases?
Yes. Motorization options depend on the selected system, power supply and controls. Phased installation can be planned around agreed access dates, site readiness and product release schedules.
